Cake stand ~ meant to be...

I love this cake stand from Williams-Sonoma ~
However, I'm not liking the price of it.  I was looking at Home Goods and TJ Maxx to see if I could find a similar one.

Of course I didn't, but I found this plate at TJ Maxx for $3.99, I liked the scallop edge and wanted it to be a cake stand!

I stopped at Hobby Lobby to visit their 80% off aisle and found this candle holder ~ $3.00!

Then I got some of this!

And I got this!

The candle holder and the plate are the exact same color of white.

These two pieces fit together so well, it was like they were meant to be together ~ forever and ever!  So for $6.99/plus tax, I got my scallop edge cake stand.  Or should I say, artichoke stand for now!
