Furry Kids

Some pictures of my little dog faces! Conan and Brighton! I was blog hopping yesterday and came across a couple of other bloggers who have Cavaliers, so I felt I should join in and share some pictures of our little poochies!
Brighton and Conan are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - don't tell them, they think they're humans!

This is Brighton - she's a Blenheim. Named after one of my favorite stores ~ Brighton! She has a heart shaped marking on the top of her head!

Here's Conan, he's a Ruby! Yes, he's named after the late night show talk host.

When we went to pick out a puppy five years ago, we were only planning on one {Brighton}, however, Conan melted our hearts and we couldn't leave without him! Having two puppies at one time is the best recommendation I can give to anyone wanting to get a puppy. They have kept each other company from day one.

This is a picture of our Christmas card from a couple of years ago! It was snowing out and they were trying to catch the snowflakes!

Magnetic Attraction!

Here’s a project that’s fun - first I used this site BeFunky to create this picture of the *furry kids*. Caution: This site is addicting! You’ll be experimenting with all your pictures!
Next, I made some bottle cap magnets, I spelled out the names of the two furry kids – using Tim Holtz Distressables Alphas & Numbers CD, he has a little thing called a copyright disclaimer, so I can’t share the images with you. If you do a lot of scrap booking, etc. this CD is great for digital imaging. I have two of his digital image CDs and I love all the graphics. You can find these at the major craft stores.

I used the typewriter key fonts and sized them so I could punch them out with a 1 inch circle punch. Printed them out on card stock. Placed them in the bottle cap's and covered the images with Inkssentials Glossy Accents – it’s in the scrap booking section at Michael's and Joann’s (use a coupon!). It took about 24 hours for the gel to dry and then I glued (use extra strength glue like 600 Glue) the magnets on the backs of each.

I got a metal picture frame from Hobby Lobby (of course I used a coupon!) and put the picture in and the magnets on the frame! I made some extra magnets to have on the side of the fridge!

Flea Market Fun!

I've been going to the Kane County Flea Market for many years now. I always seem to find a treasure each time I go. I usually go with my friend Pat. She always has to stop at the Funnel Cake stand. I think I gain weight watching her eat these! Of course she weighs about 90 lbs.!

Enough about the junk food! I recently picked up this treasure ~ a doll bed.

Many thought it was a baby bed/crib, no it's not. I imagined it painted white and making it a Flower Bed.

After sanding and spray painting it several times ~ here's how it turned out!

I did try to get my two doggies to see if they would like using it as a dog bed, but they wouldn't have anything to do with it!

Brighton and Conan {our furry kids!} ~ it was hot out!
