Map quest

Who uses a map these days?

I do...well, sort of!

I got a travel size
Road Atlas at Dollar Tree

Nope, I'm not going anywhere

however, a map wreath was my destination!

I cut out each of the maps, rolled them up and
glued them all together.

and added the Air Mail graphic

Something for those world travelers on
your list!

  2. What a fun project! I've seen many wreathes made out of book pages before, but never maps. Great idea! I've got a vintage atlas that I've been using for craft projects, so I just may have to try this one, thanks for the inspiration!

  9. I love maps as art and this has a lovely vintage feel to it because of the plane graphic. I just might have to give this a try myself. Thanks for sharing!

  12. Just stumbled upon this craft while browsing Graphics Fairy and I am SO excited. I am doing my sons room in a classic airplane theme and had picked out the stamp image to incorporate. Now I know what to do with it! Thanks!

  14. I am such a map freak!! and this really caught my eye, although I had to click through two links to find the original idea - from you! That's terrific, and since I've saved every map I've ever had and probably don't want to use those, I'm going to get one at the Dollar Store and make this great project. Love it! You might be interested in my England Travel Journal, which I blogged about last fall. Thank you for the great map idea! Also, the room looks fantastic. Love the pallet as a head board. You're brilliant! :-)
